The cakes built and priced on our website are 4 layers of cake, hugged in silky Italian Meringue Buttercream, with an optional middle layer of filling. These cakes are stacked roughy 5” high. Sugar cookies are a vanilla almond base, with a bright almond flavored pillowy royal icing. Cake designs include clean/simple, sprinkles, ganache drip, fondant draped, sculpted, pallet knife painted, ombre, sugar flowers, wafer paper design, multiple buttercream textures, and more. See our Boutique Offerings or Wedding Cakes pages for more details.
Each baked good we offer, from cookies or muffins, to 7-tiered wedding cake, is made from scratch here in the bakery. We work to locally source fresh ingredients as much as possible. If something other than the list above is desired, please reach out for custom availability and any potential pricing additions for the change.

This is a tough one, as occasionally there will be an opening within a week. But the reality is, to ensure space in my calendar, please book your custom order 2-3 weeks to 1-2 months ahead of time. If your event is during peak wedding/graduation/holiday seasons, you may want to book your order up to 6 months in advance. Weddings often book out 1-2 years before their date. Rush orders (placed under 7 days) will be considered based on availability, with an additional $25 rush fee. Order Now for your event or wedding.

Please refer to the Pricing Page for a high level overview of costs that will provide guidance. Your order may be straightforward, and easy to define based on those details. Others may be more complicated based on needed custom work, and so a quote will be put together for you. Filling out the Wedding Cake Form or Event Cake Form as detailed as possible will help ensure we can concisely give you the information you need, in order to decide if we are the best fit for you

Please see the Flavors Page for all details on offerings. You’ll find suggested pairings, as well as lists of many choices to build your own. If you don’t see a flavor there you’re hoping for, please contact us! As a boutique bakery, we can work with you to find the flavor pallet you desire

Fresh flowers are all the rage. They provide a delicate and colorful splash on your confections. Some flowers are edible! Pansies, dandelions (wait what?), and honeysuckle, to name a few. But otherwise, if we put florals on a cake, stems (inserted into the cake) will be properly sealed in an edible wax, wrapped securely in floral tape, and/or secured in “vases” (bubble tea straws plunged into the cake to house the floral arrangement).
PLEASE NOTE: SOME FLORA IS POISONOUS AND SHOULD NOT GO IN OR ON A CAKE. (Despite what may inspire you on Pinterest.)
The most commonly requested “no-no” botanicals : eucalyptus, baby’s breath, and hydrangea.
Check out this great list by ProFlowers.com for an even better understanding of what to avoid. Your health is way more important than a cake design. HOWEVER, all is not lost. Head over to our Sugar Flower Page to learn how we can fashion ANY botanical desire you have. They are always in season, in any color you desire, and last for years. (Well beyond the day of your wedding, unlike fresh cut flowers.)

Please see our detailed notice on how we handle all allergens required by the FDA. We take things a step further, since we are a boutique bakery specializing in allergen concerned baked goods, to ensure you have the most straightforward information regarding how our bakery works. Do not hesitate to reach out and grill us on our practices in relation to your food allergy. We get it. We have to do it when we are ordering food for our own daughter at other establishments. We take ZERO offense to your questions and happily share what is needed to put your mind at ease (or help you know our bakery may not be safe for your situation, i.e. nut use)
YOU MUST SPECIFY ANY ALLERGIES. We take great care, but so many allergies have different degrees of severity in each individual. The more candid you can be will help us modify our formulas to suit your custom needs. We take great pride in offering this to our customers to the best of our ability, and will let you know if we are unable to accommodate your request.

These are the ingredients we use in “swapping out” for allergens. If you need to deviate from any of these ingredients, please note there will be an added cost, as new ingredients to your specification will need to be sourced and purchased.
Our GF Flour blends include:
GF cake flour: [rice flour, potato, tapioca flour, plant fiber (psyllium, cellulose)]
GF bread flour: [rice, Non-GMO cornstarch, tapioca, millet, AF Fiber blend, sugar, salt, potato, ascorbic acid]
For Dairy Free/Vegan we use:
Earth Balance Soy Free Vegan Butter Sticks
Silk Original Almond Milk

Please fill out the Wedding Cake Form, or Event Cake Form, in detail. We will contact you within 48 hours to finalize details (pending availability on our calendar), and take payment. During peak wedding/holiday seasons, we may need to delay our connection due to sheer volume of work. Please be patient, plan ahead, and know we are excited to work with you.
-
For all custom orders, payment is due at the time of ordering. An invoice will be sent through Square, via an email, and you may pay with any card of your choosing. Large orders, such as weddings, require a $200 non refundable date retainer & 50% down first payment. The final payment is due 6 weeks prior to the event.

Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for complete details. Due to the nature of our business, when you place an order, you hold a space in our baking schedule, and we construct our labor and ingredients to suit. As a boutique bakery, we cannot accommodate huge volume output. Partly in logistics, and partly because our custom work takes valuable time and we want to offer you our highest standards and expertise. Due to this, we sadly must refuse orders when we reach capacity. If you cancel an established order, we most likely cannot recoup that “order spot.” We cannot offer you a refund, but are happy to apply the credit to a later date/order. Thank you for understanding.

All custom orders should be picked up, curbside, at Cake & Crumble. If delivery is required (due to the complexity of the order, or tiered cakes), a delivery and set up fee will apply. Delivery fee minimum is $75 in the surrounding South Sound region, with an additional $2.25/mile (round trip) added if mileage from Auburn exceeds the minimum threshold. Delivery within Auburn city limits is $25-$50, depending on location and our ability to accommodate.
