We recommend scheduling your tasting 6-10 months ahead of your wedding. Sometimes we offer different flavors based on season. However, weddings book out quickly, especially in the high season, and so if you know you want to work with us, we recommend paying the date retainer to secure your wedding date as soon as possible, anywhere from 6-18 months in advance.

Your wedding cake, and any desserts you decide to add, are really subject to the design elements we come up with at your tasting or in discussion with your planner. Factors such as your guest count and complexity of design will account for the weight of that cost. We will openly discuss this. I value transparency and it gives me joy to work magic while balancing the price of your investment.

The minimum wedding order is $2000, no matter the size of the wedding. I have only a select amount of dates available, and work exclusively with each couple to provide tailored white-glove service. Thank you for understanding that at this time the $2000 minimum is firm.

The cost for a tasting is $60. We will meet in my garden studio at my home residence. Up to four people may attend, although it would be cozy. Four miniature cakes are included in the tasting. Additional flavors are $15 each. There is enough cake to taste and then take home to share with others. I will give you private time to taste the cakes, and then will join you to discuss cake design concepts, and answer any questions you may have. I will then work up a proposal for you to consider within a few days. The proposal expires 7 days after you have received it.

Yes! Additional sheet cakes may be added to ensure all guests are served. Sheet cakes are cleanly frosted, 4 layers of cake, emulating the cutting cake, and will be placed in the kitchen for the caterers to slice and serve.

We do happily design wedding cakes that incorporate fresh flowers. If you would like this, please make sure to discuss it with your florist. Cake flowers still have a cost to the florist, and we all want to consider what kinds of chemicals may be used for preservation. Additionally, arranging flowers on your cake at the venue may take anywhere from 20-60 minutes and will be factored into the labor of your cake design.

PLEASE NOTE: SOME FLORA IS POISONOUS AND SHOULD NOT GO IN OR ON A CAKE. (Despite what may inspire you on Pinterest.)

The most commonly requested “no-no” botanicals : eucalyptus, baby’s breath, and hydrangea.

Check out this great list by ProFlowers.com for an even better understanding of what to avoid. Your health is way more important than a cake design. HOWEVER, all is not lost. I’m happy to discuss sugar flowers or wafer paper flowers to incorporate in your aesthetic. Since they are hand-made commissions, they are always in season, in any color you desire, and last for years. (Well beyond the day of your wedding, unlike fresh cut flowers.)

We take things a step further, since we are a boutique bakery specializing in allergen concerned baked goods, to ensure you have the most straightforward information regarding how our bakery works. Do not hesitate to reach out and grill us on our practices in relation to your food allergy. We get it. We have to do it when we are ordering food for our own daughter at other establishments. We take ZERO offense to your questions and happily share what is needed to put your mind at ease (or help you know our bakery may not be safe for your situation, i.e. nut use).

Yes! For two tier cakes purchased from our Online Shop, delivery is only available on a case by case basis, dependent on our work load that week. For two tier cakes on wedding orders, delivery is available, but pick up is also available. For all 3-tier and taller cakes, delivery is required. The delivery fee base price is $75, and anything beyond a 25 mile radius of our bakery in Auburn will additionally be billed at $3/mi, one way, to the destination.

A $200 date retainer fee, that is non-refundable, is required to secure your wedding day with us. Once a proposal is accepted, 50% of the balance will be due within one week of the contract signing, and the remaining 50% will be due 6 weeks prior to your wedding. Payment may be made by cash or check, or also easily paid by card through the online invoice. A 1.5% payment processing fee will be incurred for all payments made by card.

Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for complete details. For weddings, a $200 non-refundable deposit must be made to secure your wedding date. Full payment is due 6 weeks prior to your wedding, making the contract final. Previous to the 6 week cut-off, a full refund, minus the deposit, is available. If your cancellation within 6 weeks is unavoidable due to unforseen circumstances, every effort will be made to honor providing the order at a later date, but may incur costs due to date changes and order changes.
